Qin Dynasty Terracotta Figure

The Terracotta Army is a collection of thousands of life-sized clay sculptures depicting the armies of 'Qin Shi Huang', the first emperor of China (221–206 BCE). Discovered in 1974 near Xi'an, Shaanxi Province P.R.China, the figures were buried to protect the emperor in the afterlife.
